Well don't try to tell this trucker
(see: Truck Computer Data Contradicts Police Charges Against Driver in July Death of an Officer A trucker involved in a fatal accident is currently in jail, but apparently will be released because data obtained from on-board truck computer records disproves charges that police filed at the time of the accident)
that electronic record keeping is bad for his rights. bet he wishes he had a system that had been immediately available to police. He might not have had to spend neraly 6 months in the slammer.

Testing the system
Had a very interesting day today with a new client who really needs to track his trucks. During my formal sales presentation I felt like I was hit by a brick, because after many written and phone contacts with his staff regarding my featured product's 'key feature' no monthly costs, he went off on a sideline of how little he could afford per month. "oh", he finally said, "you mean there's _really_ no monthly costs"?
lesson learned... when you have a key feature, a real Unique Selling Proposition, don't expect they will catch on ... pound it in until it sticks
